Jared and Maren's Wedding

WOW!!! Do you ever have times in your life where you just can't take the smile off your face???
It all started Friday, Feb. 17th when I went with Jacob and Janette to their ultra sound. We are so excited to have grandson #6 on the way!! They will make great parents!

HEADS UP....Picture Overload!!!
Our future grandson!

Draper Temple

Saturday, Feb. 18th was just about as perfect of a day as you could get. As I sat in the temple I realized all of our living parents, all of our siblings and their spouses (except one), some cousins, close friends and all of my children and their spouses were there!! What greater gift could one ask for? I felt complete peace and joy:) I am so happy for Jared and Maren and can feel their love for each other! It makes me so happy to see my children marry someone that loves them almost as much as I do.

I LOVE this picture! They look SO happy!

I know I'm prejudice, but my grandkids looked so cute that day and were so cooperative with all the pictures! So, if I get a little carried away with pictures, forgive me:)
Pretty good looking group:)

Halter & Jacob

This was Grandma Larsen's first wedding she's attended for any of our kids and we were so happy she came. Thank you John and Jan for getting her there!

Fortunately, my parents have been able to attend all of our children's weddings. They have always been very supportive of our kids weddings and mission farewells and homecomings. They do pretty good for being 81 and 88 years old!

So grateful my sister Delina, from Spokane, and my brother Moroni and his wife Marcie could be there.

Sherrie, Halter & Lindsey

Kristy and Wes' family flew in Friday morning. After hearing their story, it was a TRUE miracle they made their flight. We had several tender mercies this weekend!

Bingham Family

Janette & Jacob

Matsen, Jazlyn, Shelten & Kelston

Tytyn & Halter

Here's Maren's family, minus her brother on a mission in Chile. So happy Jared has married into such a lovely family.

We had the wedding luncheon at "The Gathering Place" in Gardner Village. I wish we would have had a little more time so I could go around and talk to everyone. That was the one thing I felt bad about. The day went sooo fast & I didn't get to visit with everyone I wanted to!!

I wanted to go around and take pictures of everyone at the luncheon, but they started the video and then we had a few brief speeches, so I only got to a few tables.
So glad Dave and Sherrie could make it, especially after Dave had just had a hip replacement 5 days before!!

Jeff had a total knee done about 3 weeks ago, so it was great to see Jeff and Karen.

Jan and John, our great B & B hosts!!

Crystal and Jake came from Rexburg!

This is my mom's sister, Ute and her husband Heinz. Ute has been doing tons of genealogy from her family lines in Germany. Kristy and I have been getting lots of names from her to do in the temple, so its kept us in touch. She's done amazing work with her line!

The reception was at "The Castle" At Wadley Farms in Lindon, Utah.
It was so beautiful inside and was a perfect setting for a perfect day!

This is Karla McCarther, she was one of my roommates at Dixie college back in 1977-78! I was one of her bridesmaids in 78'!! I haven't seen her for years and it was so fun to see her. She lives in Brigham City and was on her way to St. George with her husband, but stopped in to say hi.

Jared and Maren with Elder & Sister Groberg. He sealed them in the temple.

 Trent, Andrea and Grandma Larsen

Maren, Jared, John and Heidi

Matt, Annie and boys.
I didn't get a picture of Adam & Jessica, Sharon & Dan or Spencer & Kristin, but so appreciate their support!

I always felt bad I didn't get a picture of us and our grandkids at Jacob and Janette's wedding. So glad we got this one with our little angels! Wish we could have spent more time with them.

Our four beautiful children all grown up!! Makes me so happy that they love each other so much:)

Dalin and Emily and cute boys.

My sister Christine, her daughter Misty and her kids (they came up from Las Vegas).

The Millers we met on our Humanitarian trips to Central American. The Weavers were Mission President in Washington & have been home 2 years. They are actually in John and Jan's Stake now. We've grown to love both of these couples so much.

What a surprise to see the Hatton-Wards!! They were in our ward in Germany and we haven't seen them for over 20 years! They watched Kristy, Lindsey and Jared one time while Russ, my parents and I took a short trip to Italy for a few days.

Bruce & Evelyn Talbot. I was her last companion on my mission. Bruce was one of our AP's and they ended up getting married. I have such fond memories of serving with Evelyn for 3 months:)
So good to see them.

Autumn Hamilton and Vanessa Brulotte are both from our home ward in Washington, but living in Utah now. Vanessa (in the middle) graduated with Jared & they have been like brother and sister.

Our dear friends, the Parkins!! We've known them since dental school and have been on some amazing journeys with them!! We have two more in the works! They're awesome:)
Rich has been dad & mom Larsen's dentist for years &  has charged them very little or nothing at all. So thankful for all his loving care to them.

Jared's cousin David with his nephew Owen.

Lindsey, Jared, Marcie and her two girls, Kennedy & Kensie. My niece on the far right, Kensie, just received her mission call to the El Salvador/Belize mission and is so excited. She'll do a great job!

Kayla & Caton Wescott. Caton grew up in our Ward with Jared. They did scouts together, went on missions at the same time & were good friends. They are living in Rexburg now.

This is the Kolilis family from our home Ward in Wa. Our kids grew up together. Lindsey roomed with Kaitlyn one year at BYUI.  Don was Jared's scout master.  Jared & Justin were the same age. Cheryl and I were VT partners for years!! It meant so much to us for them to drive down for this special occasion!! They are like family:)

Cousins enjoying being together!

 Mom and son dance:)

Newlyweds

 Jacob and Janette

Matsen & Kristy

The two dads, Matt & Russ, enjoying a couple minutes together.

 Pretty handsome bunch of guys!!

Kristy & Wes

I feel so bad I didn't get a picture of these lovely ladies with Maren.

I'm so blessed to be related to all these ladies!! Aren't they beautiful?

Leaving for the honeymoon! They went to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

Jazlyn & Kristy

On our way home we got a late start so we spent the night in Baker City, Oregon and stayed at the Geiser Gand Hotel. It was built in 1889 and restored in the 1990's. It was a perfect way to end our trip & spend a little time together.

I can't even tell you how wonderful this past week has been. I'm SOOOO thankful for all of those  who took the time and made the effort to come and support us for this special occasion. I'm so thankful Jared found someone who I know loves him. I've never seen him so happy.

I'm so thankful for all the tender mercies the Lord showered upon us and continues to shower upon me, even though I don't deserve it. I'm so thankful for all my family and extended family and feel so blessed to have married into such a loving family.
I love all of you:) What an AWESOME week we had!!

  6. Love the pictures! What a great talent you have. I'm so glad that I could be there with you. One of the best parts was 7 hours in the car with Kay Lynn, on the way down. (And of course, being in the temple with so much family). Thanks for always being such a great example. I love your famiily!

It was so fun to see everyone that I love in one place at the same time and it went by so fast.
