January 2018

Its hard to put into words the last 6 months of our lives, other than its been a BIG roller coaster with lots of changes!!  I don't think I ever remember Russ being quite that stressed before. In the past 6 months we've sold a house, bought a house, sold a piece of land we own (still in the process), sold the practice and Russ has retired!! We now feel like we're in limbo and ready to move on, but Russ feels a responsibility to continue to serve as our Stake President. We keep telling ourselves there's a reason for this, so we're trying to be patient!! Heavenly Father KNOWS that I'm not a patient person and He keeps trying to teach me, but I have a LONG ways to go!!!
One of the funny things about Russ retiring is everyone keeps asking me...how are YOU doing??  LOL
 The "signing" of the practice!!

Another BIG milestone this month was me turning 60!!!! How did that happen!! This has been the hardest birthday I've had. I remember my parents turning 60!! I keep hearing about so many people and friends who are dying in their 60's. I've also noticed, that people seem to age the most between  60 and 70.  I have to keep telling myself its better than the alternative. I DO feel very blessed that I'm 60 and not on any medications. I know that could change tomorrow. I keep counting my blessings!!

Russ and I went to Bellevue the night before my birthday so we could go to the temple. We dropped by and visited our good friend Dick Bell, who lost his wife a year and a half ago. We ended up staying for 4-5 hours & he took me out to dinner for my birthday. His wife was one of my dearest friends. We talked about Joyce a lot and what he's gone through since she's been gone. They had been sweethearts since grade school. She was only 69!!

On Monday, January 22nd  I went down to Rigby to be there when Lindsey had her baby. I only had a week I could stay so we kept praying she'd have it a little early. On Friday I went to visit Crystal and took the boys with me. Crystal looked great & was feeling much better. When I texted Lindsey to see how she was doing, she was just getting ready to go to the hospital. Jacob & Zayne had gone with me to see Crystal so we went back to his house and had dinner with Janette. We left right after and Halter was so tired he feel asleep in the car.
When Lindsey arrived at the hospital she was dilated to 6 and had the baby 3 hours later!! They waited to find out what they were having. I got Halter out of bed and Tytyn, Halter and I hurried to the hospital to see what she had!! I think Lindsey had her mind made up she was having another boy (and was OK with that) so when she had a girl, she was in shock!! She was VERY overcome with emotion and SO happy. I have to say, she IS beautiful and I'm SO excited to have another granddaughter after 6 grandsons in a row. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade any of them!!

Three cuties!!

Our newest angel, Tyli Kay Bingham. Born Friday, January 26th. She weighed 8.2 lbs.

 First time meeting Tyli

 The happy family:)

Tyli's big brothers loving on her!!

Russ drove down to pick me up from Lindsey's house. I didn't get a lot of "holding" time after he showed up!! Glad he could come:)
Each new grandchild is such a blessing and miracle! I love to watch our prosperity continue to grow. Its amazing how each of them come with their own personalities.
Life is good:)
